WELCOME TO THE CLASS

The causal theory is at the center of our work at PaRC

It's about cause and effect; it's identifying and understanding the experiences in childhood that shape personality; it's about how to heal from these experiences if they go wrong:

In this lecture Dr. Faye Introduces the primary concepts which make up the Causal Theory. Students will leave this course understanding that behavior is caused by childhood experience, and get an introduction to the concepts that will be explored in depth in later lectures.

In this lecture, Dr. Faye covers the different types of personality disorders and their causes. Students will learn how to associate behaviors with their respective personality disorders, and be able to link those behaviors with the childhood experiences that caused them.

"To weep is to make less the depth of grief" -Shakespeare
"Grieving is healing and healing is grieving" - Dr. Faye
In this lecture Dr. Faye covers how to heal the traumas which cause personality disorders, and the ways this is encouraged or discouraged. Students will learn the ways in which different emotional wounds can be healed for both children and adults, regardless of how old those wounds may be. Healing childhood trauma is key to healing a personality disorder.

In this lecture Dr. Faye covers the stages of childhood development and identifies what a child needs form their parents during each stage. Students will learn what can go right or wrong during these stages, and will be able to associate them with the personality disorders identified in the diagnosis lecture.

In this lecture Dr. Faye covers the way which mirror neurons imprint the actions that children experience and observe, and the way that children will tend to repeat those actions, particularly those associated with how discipline is practiced in their family. Students will learn about the way that people are driven to re-enact the way that we are disciplined in childhood and the behaviors we observe.

In the same way that bad childhood experiences can create severe pathology, great childhood experiences can create greatness. In this lecture Dr. Faye introduces Faith Parenting, parenting guidelines that will give a child an opportunity for greatness. Students will learn the ways which children can be prepared for greatness in a healthy way.

In this lecture Dr. Faye covers different types of discipline that are common, best practices, and the consequences of bad discipline. Students will learn to identify good and bad discipline practices in the present and in their own childhood, and understand the role that these practices play in the development of personality.

In this lecture Dr. Faye explores what good relationship skills look like for adults who were raised healthy and those who have healed. Students will learn how relationships look between healed and unhealed individuals, and what healthy relationships look like when the ethics supported by the Causal Theory are actively pursued

In this lecture Dr. Faye explains the way that intelligence develops in childhood. Students will learn how children develop intelligence and the ways it can be encouraged, discouraged, and misdirected.
